Jennie (Yu-Chen) Chung, MD, FAAP.
Y.C. (Yu-Chen) Jennie Chung, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician with 15 years of experience practicing Pediatrician in various settings, including hospitals, urgent care, and clinical offices. She is proud to provide compassionate care to children and teenagers at Happy Bun Pediatrician in McKinney, Texas. She has additional experience taking care of newborns and premature infants in neonatal ICU.
Dr. Chung grew up in Houston and earned her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Texas in Austin. Then her Doctor of Medicine degree at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Followed by residency completed at Dell Children’s Hospital / UTSW – Austin. In the early 2010’s, she moved to the DFW area to join families and the medical communities here.

She has received several awards, including Recognition of Patient Care by Staff and Patients at Dell Children’s Hospital and the Jacquelyn Hall-Werner Award Outstanding Humanities Project. Dr. Chung also authored the chapter “Neonatal Hearing Screen” in Atlas of Procedures in Neonatology.
As families that have worked with her know, Dr. Chung provides individualized medical care with science-based methodologies in a holistic approach. She enjoys working with children and takes time getting to know each child and their family, understanding their unique needs and concerns.
